Real-Time gameplay, where the player has the ability to take control of Greek
troops and decide how to strategically place them before battle, then clicking
on next round. This results in changing the environment from the map into a
battle phase, giving them the chance to direct their own army in any way the
player believes is best to eliminate the enemy in each map.
The game is set during the Greek revolution, from 1821 to 1830.
The map is divided into 20 districts of the Peloponnese and Central Greece.
Each region has its own characteristics, such as population, guard, available
men for military equipment, level of trade, displaying the products produced
separately by each city and in total. The aim is to recover the areas shown
on the map in time. Each time you click on the next round, an undefined
chronologically alteration takes place. This means that it can vary from one
day to one year or more, depending on the historical developments of the era.

events.
The scenario was developed so that the player, while experiencing the hame also
encounters random and various events that may occur. These events need proper
handling each time to overcome the difficulty arising and will test the player’s
skills, whether on the battlefield or while maneuvering the map.
The date is fixed on February 12, 1821. The Filiki Eteria (Society of Friends)
grants an initial amount to be spent on equipment for your army commanded by
Theodoros Kolokotronis. This unit with the player’s manipulation attacks Kalamata
on March 23 (historical fact) in order to seize it. From there on the player may
use their own strategy, having a less influence on major historical events and
battles that are considered necessary as the civil war.
The player is in possession of a large group of options. The main concern is the
army’s equipment and in particular the right equipment, depending on what units
need to equip each time i.e. Cutlass, koumpouri (hand gun) or flintlock rifle.
Each unit has unique characteristics thus giving them different costs. Real
historical names appear in game and various generals like Kolokotronis and
Papaflessas, which have some unique characteristics on their military units, the
same goes for the opponent, the Turkish side who have Ibrahim and Dramali. There
is also a choice of technologies, where the player can better equip one’s troops
(This unlocks new units.) Trading and exporting products play a dominant role in
the games progress by saving money that can later be spent on equipping troops or
any other need to improve an army. Apart from military production, technological
enhancements can be purchased that provide better production to cities.
In addition to the above «1453-1821 The Coming of Liberation» has a diplomatic
approach and aspect. In each round the player may request assistance from allies.
There is the option of the loan which is not always advantageous. The “diplomatic
documents” is another method that can be useful in various deadlocks. These
documents appear as a reward after winning some battles and can have various
